Jack is now 16 months! He made his first plane ride as a big boy, requiring a lot more attention and planning from mom! We went to visit Mema, Papa, Uncle BJ and Cousin Marleigh for Thanksgiving. Mamo, Papa and Cousin Eric were also able to come up for a day to visit! The plane rides both ways went very well, all things considered! I definitely attribute this to the abundance of prayers that went up on our behalf! We had a wonderful time and hated to leave. Jack was definitely a hit with the grandparents. He knows how to pull at their heart strings! Marleigh was so generous to allow Jack to play with all her stuffed animals and old toys. Jack had a wonderful time decorating the Christmas tree and going to the zoo. It was warm enough to play outside a lot of the time, which was great. The only disappointment was it didn't snow! Hopefully over Christmas it will. We did our Christmas with the Agners while we were there. Jack learned what "gifts" are and now wants to open any box he sees. It's pretty sweet. He got a new train set and many other wonderful gifts from the Mema and Papa. Uncle BJ got him monster bowling and a new phone which he loves. Thanks everybody for being so generous and making us feel so special! Can't wait to see you again soon!
Here are a few updates on Jack at 16 months:
He LOVES Santa!
He like to try eating the fake candy and cookies on the Christmas ornaments.
He tried drinking from his bib with a straw
He is able to go down stairs backwards with a little help!
He likes to brush his teeth with his Elmo toothbrush.
He is a very picky eater at the moment. Might be because he is teething.
He loves to tease me giving me a piece of food and then eating it himself.
He loves to look through the window and do pig noses.
He loves to touch everything with his pointer finger that he is not allowed to hold.
he learned that he loves gingerbread cookies for dinner!
Loves to imitate EVERYTHING! We went to BSF and he saw the older boys running around and falling on the ground. Later that day he started laying on the ground and laughing.
He is still a very sweet boy and loves to get and give hugs and kisses. We love you Jack!
This is what Jack does when I say "smile!".
Jack loved helping Papa in the yard. He picked up the leaves one at a time and put them in the bag and probably spread the leaves out more than raking them up!
Jack loves opening gifts! Sometimes it was a little tedious as he pulled one little piece at a time, but very cute.
We were able to see Marleigh in the Santa Claus parade the day after Thanksgiving. She was so cute in her outfit! She is very talented at playing the flute!
Here is a glimpse at the gingerbread cookie decorating contest, which turned into zombies and werewolves. Marleigh picked the categories this year! Keep in mind we had just gone to see New Moon!
