Pooch Parade 2010

This year we decided to participate in "Fiesta" in San Antonio. Typically we (or I) decide not to participate because of the huge crowds. This year we entered Henry into the costume contest at the Pooch Parade. Let's just say, he was nowhere close to winning...mostly due to the fact that he was not riding on a float! Next year may be a different story...we already have a plan in mind for our float and how to beat the 1 pound chihuahua in a flying saucer.

Henry with a senorita riding on his back!

Henry says, "Please spare me from this humiliation..."

Jack wore his fiesta necklace with basketballs on it. He refused to wear the cute hat mom bought for him.

Some people are really in to Fiesta.

#1 Big Dog winner: The Clown (or the Happy Birthday Dog as I call him).

Kurt's favorite

Henry is his first show appearance.

This one had bubbles coming out of her float.

I loved this one...I have no idea how the owner got the feathers to stay sticking straight up.

The #1 Small Dog: Fiesta Invasion (Henry's competition for next year)

Puffy Taco

The dog's name is Elizabest Taylor, so the dog was "Elizabeth Taylor as Elizabeth Taylor as Cleopatra". This one was a little too much to handle!

And another chihuahua that was in the Top 3.

I think Henry's costume was great! Very tasteful. Love the pictures... Kate was asking about cameras and I told her to ask you! :)

Henry is the King of the Fiesta! He should have a float with him as the King of Mexico, if they had a king! Love Mom
