Today is Kurt's birthday! He is 31 years old today! I feel so privileged to be his wife and to have the opportunity to celebrate his birthday with him. What an amazing man he is and I simply adore him. Jack and I made sugar cookies for Kurt and iced them to look like the Hope for One logo. The only bad part was that we used fake sugar and they didn't taste very good. Kurt was impressed by the icing job though! This year he got a new BlueRay player and two shirts...sadly Jack thought Dada's presents were filled with trucks having just opened his birthday presents 2 days before. He was very disappointed to find shirts inside! I picked up Kurt's favorite dinner again, which was soft pretzels, bratwurst and beer from Flying Saucer. Jack had his fair share of the pretzels as well. He did say "Dada uprise (surprise)" while he was eating it though!
Speaking of Jack, he peed in the big boy potty today for the first time! I sat him on the pottyafter his bath (this is especially interesting considering he usually pees in the tub) and went to get something. When I came back, he had peed in his potty. He ran into the other room to tell daddy and was so excited to show off his accomplishment. It was adorable! Way to go Jack! Needless to say, it hasn't happened again since!
Jack and I made sugar cookies and iced them to say "i love dada" with the heart being the Hope for One logo instead...didn't turn out the best, but its the thought that counts!
Jack thinks the presents have trucks inside them-that's why he is smiling so big!
Still waiting for trucks
Daddy's birthday hug from Jack and the puppy that was Jack's gift (we put it in the box and pretended it was a present for him since he was so disappointed when dad opened his presents to find shirts)
