One Week Old!

One week went by really fast...too fast for me! I just love sweet Audrey and her "newbornness"! I know one day I will look at her and realize she's not a newborn any more and be sad. She has really proven to be a sweet baby and is fairly "easy" as newborns go, although I really don't have a reference for what is normal since Jack was so difficult from the start. She wakes up and fusses to eat and doesn't like her bottom wiped, but other than that she doesn't cry much at all. In fact, she sleeps really well in between feedings, with the exception of the hour she is awake after her night feedings! Giving her a nighttime bath seems to help with that though! It really is miraculous to both Kurt and I how laid back she is! I hate to even say this out loud for fear of jinxing it! I just love her soft sweet hair and how she has two cowlicks in the front going opposite directions. I think when she is older this could be a problem! My favorite part of her little face is her little nose. It looks a lot like mine when I was a baby. She definitely resembles me more as a baby than Jack did. Maybe she will be my little clone like Jack is Kurt's clone! Kurt and I both love her little baby noises and big sighs that she makes while she is sleeping. Jack is adjusting fairly well. He really loves Audrey and loves to help in any way he can...he even put cream on her bottom today! However, he would not give her a kiss with milk on her face. It was hilarious! He is a little more clingy and tired than normal, but as these things go, I think he is doing very well! He even ooos and ahhhs over her little hands and feet.

We love you sweet Audrey and are so excited to have you as our daughter!
