Jack started preschool last week on Thursday. Yesterday when I took him for his second day, he told me in the car that he really likes school. This was a good thing to for a sad mommy to hear. He has done kids-day-out before, but I just felt like he was such a big boy and it was a bigger transition. He of course had a seamless transition and actually asked me "Why are you still here mommy?". Sighhhh. He has already made 2 friends, Bryce and Hope. He also told me that he tried to give a little girl a stuffed animal and that she told him "NO" and then hit him. I asked him what he said back to her and he said, "It's okay." My heart broke for him. Of course my first instinct is, "I must call his teacher and report this!". Then reality sunk in and I realized that he is just experiencing life and so I told him that it was not okay to hit and that he should tell the teacher if it happens again. Sighhh. He is also expected to go potty independently including wiping! Hopefully they will teach him before letting him be completely independent! That could get messy! So far I have accomplished very little on my "days off". I think I need to recover a little from the past 3 months! Love you Jack! You are such a big boy! I don't even want to think about when you go away to college!
