Happy fourth to my sweet Audrey Day! You are such a delight to our family. I never imagined that God would bless me with a little girl, let alone one who is as special as you. When I see you, I can't help but wonder if I was like you when I was little. I actually do know that you are much more outgoing than I was. Maybe you are more like your daddy in that sense. You push us all to be more social and outgoing. I am so impressed with how accepting and friendly you are. You can make friends in a matter of seconds wherever you go. It is amazing to see what a confident spirit God has given you. Here's a bit about my little Audie:
As I said before, you are so friendly. You have made such good friends even in the first 2 weeks of your new preschool. You make your rounds as we leave and try to give as many hugs as possible.
You love to do girly things. Yay! I took you to get your first "pedicure" where they filed and painted your toes. You were in Heaven and especially loved the massage chair. You chose neon pink and neon orange in an alternating pattern. You always made a point to tell people it was in a pattern. :)
You love your ballet and tap class. You try your best and are so self-assured. I cannot wait for the recital. Even if you only do dance one year, know that it fulfilled a dream I had to see my little girl in a pink tutu and ballet shoes. What a sweet gift from God.
You love your brother and love being with him, but you do "hit" him and get rough sometimes.
You love your bedtime routine which as incorporated any or all of the following: silly dream-telling, mommy can you lay on me so I can open your eyes and blow on them?, can you make crocky talk to me?, can we talk about Margaret?, can we talk about Jesus?, can you hug me as tight as you can?, sweet dreams, see you in the am, love you to _____ pieces, good night, my body hurts, I need lotion on my _____, I have to go potty realllllyyy bad, can you shut my closet doors, where is puppy?, etc.
You have a wonderful sense of humor.
You are a little parrot which is very helpful in determining what my bad behavior and sayings are.
You have the best laugh ever.
You care deeply about people.
You are worried you will not see Marleigh again which can bring you to tears at times.
You believe that you are a Christian. When we talk about Jesus, you are able to articulate what it means to believe in Jesus and that without Him you cannot go to Heaven. Mommy and Daddy are waiting a bit to "make sure" but it seems you are most likely saved already.Oh how this makes my heart well up with joy.
You love your daddy and seeing him come home from work.
You are a very slow eater and what I would call "resistant" unless it's something like chicken nuggest of peanut butter. Lots of counting happens at the table.

Dear Lord, I thank you for blessing our family with Audrey. She makes me laugh and brings so much joy into this world. I am so thankful you chose me to be her mother. Lord I thank you for how you made her. I thank you that she is not like I was, but is confident and self assured. I thank you for how she pushes all of us to be friendly and accepting and outgoing. I pray that you would continue to grow her and keep her healthy physically, mentally and spiritually. I pray that each day she would grow more in love with Jesus and grow more in her understanding of your love for her. I pray that she would continue to do everything with joy and that you would always bless her with good friends who also know you and will build her up and encourage her. I pray that you would protect her from the bad things in this world. Give us wisdom in how to protect her mind, ears and eyes from things she shouldn't be exposed to. Give us wisdom in whether or not to send her to kindergarten next year. Let the decision be very clear. I pray that you would protect her spouse right now and that you would allow him to be raised in a strong Christian home. I thank you for this precious girl and for allowing me to be her mother. Give me wisdom each day in raising her to know you.
