8:46 PM

This is the time tonight that Jack fell asleep in my arms as I rubbed his soft hair, his eyes still fluttering, small sighs under his breath. It's also the time I tried to close my eyes to hopefully capture the image of him falling asleep so sweetly, to somehow etch the moment in my memory so it wouldn't leave for the rest of my life. I know this sounds strange, but ever since his birth, I find myself doing this a lot, trying to take in each moment and freeze time. It's hard to know where to begin in my blog since Jack's birth. I have so many things in my head that I want to write down in a letter to my son so he can read it when he is older, but I can't find the right words to begin the letter. I will write more as the days go on. Here's to many more memories stored in my head like the one tonight.
