Jack's Mema came to town last week for a wonderful visit. She quickly learned that Jack is unpredictable and was so sweet to conform to my ways of doing things for him. She got up in the wee morning hours to take care of him, cooked wonderful meals, and made my life so much easier. We went antiquing and out to lunch at a tea room in Gruene one day and Jack was difficult, but we persevered and made it work. Luckily the tea room gave us the back room all to ourselves. I guess Jack just didn't like going out with the ladies and doing such a non-manly thing such as dining at a tea room. He did like looking at the antiques though...just kidding...he fussed a lot that day. We also went antiquing around San Antonio which was a blast. We ate at the WD Deli twice because we love it so much. We went out to dinner at the Grey Moss Inn for her 60th birthday which was perfect in every way. I had lobster and she had prime rib! (Our salad had truffle oil on it...it was to die for). I had a wonderful time with my mom in every way...I miss her so much. We love to do the same things and just get along so well. This trip just made me realize once again that she is one of my very best friends (aside from Kurt that is!!!). Come back Mema! We miss you!
