Wurstfest 2008
This year's Wurstfest turned out to be great. Kurt and I have been attending for 3 years now and each year is always so much fun! I finally convinced Kurt to get an authentic German hat...for Jack that is! We ate our way through the festival as you can see from the picture below. We had sausage on a stick, bratwurst, sauerkraut, sausage balls, turkey legs, and my favorite...bread pudding. Of course Kurt and Isaac had some German beer too (I had a taste, but not too much so as not to pass any on to sweet baby Jack!). Jack had loads of fun and even slept through part of it. He did get scared by the loud trumpet music though. We couldn't leave without getting a picture of Jack adorned in his new "authentic" German hat with one of the oldest Germans there who had tons of pins on his hat from many past Wurstfests. (Another gentleman was quite jealous that we did not choose him to take a picture with but he was quite a bit younger and had only a few hat pins!) Strangers were even taking pictures of Jack with his hat on. See you next year Wurstfest!
