Jack turned 10 months (on the 21st) and has made big strides over the past month! The biggest change is that he started to cruise and to walk behind his Caterpillar truck. He's not too good at steering yet, but we're working on it. He's also developed independence during mealtime. He's able to feed himself and is learning how to tip up his sippy cup. Mom is only nursing four times a day now, and Jack is eating three solid food meals.
Jack is perfecting his ability to be silly, and to flirt with anyone who looks his direction. He loves to make noises to get a reaction from Mom and Dad. We are now realizing we need to be picky with which noises we encourage! He also loves to give kisses. For the cats, he just crawls up to them and touches his forehead against their body. For us, he opens his mouth and places it against any part of your face he can reach!
Jack loves animals of all kinds, including goats, dogs, and cats. He loves to go on stroller rides with Dad (Blade Bros...Dad rollerblading, Jack in the stroller, and Hudson running alongside). Afterwards, Dad and Jack share a glass of ice water, which makes Jack feel like a big boy.
Jack also recently finished his swimming lessons. He can hold his breath when he goes underwater and is able to "spider walk" along the pool wall. He also loves to go to the baby pool in our subdivision and splash himself in the fountain with Dad.
Strong man!
Mom loves my tooshy!
