Colorado: Day Seven

Today we went hiking at Mueller State Park. It turned out to be a gorgeous day...clear blue skies and warm enough to wear short sleeves. We hiked about 3 miles on a moderate trail and saw wonderful wildlife including a coyote, a family of deer, blue birds, and an animal skeleton (well it wasn't alive, but Kurt was really excited about this one). I was on guard waiting to be attacked by a bear. We were no fortunate enough to see a herd of elk...maybe next time. For dinner we ate at Giuseppe's Depot Restaurant, which is an old train station in downtown Colorado Springs. For dessert we had triple chocolate cake. Yum! As Mom Agner would say, "Ate out again...it was great."
