15 Months!

It's almost impossible to describe Jack in words...if you could read how my heart feels, that would be perfect. Of course being a mom comes with challenges and "those days" when you aren't sure if you will make it to bedtime, but somehow God has blessed mommies with a certain kind of amnesia so that when our children smile or laugh out loud, we forget the difficult times! I love seeing Jack's personality develop...he is such a sweet sweet boy who loves to have a companion. I would still call him an observer but he is beginning to engage more now, especially with kids slightly older. He loves to imitate them! He loves going to BSF and being with the other kids there. He doesn't cry anymore when I drop him off and smiles when I come to pick him up. This is great for Jack, but a reminder to his mom that he is growing up.

Jack's favorite things include: being outside (all day long if he could!), kiwi, milk, yogurt raisins, sweeping with his kiddie broom (or the big broom), chasing the kitties, any animal for that matter, running through the house naked after his bath, his lovies (Larry and Mo Mo), and Veggie Tales. Oh and he now likes trucks and trains.

He truly has a loving spirit and still loves to get hugs and kisses from his mom. He now likes to talk on the phone to his grandparents or give them kisses on Skype. He is quite the ham and knows how to turn on the charm when he is getting his picture taken. He also has learned how to say no by shaking his head. I'll say, "Come here Jack!" and he'll shake his head and grin ear to ear and run away in a effort to get me to chase him and be silly. For the most part he really is obedient. Still praying this continues! A couple of other things...he can now go down the slide from start to finish all by himself and he can eat with a fork!

We absolutely love having a son and we love every moment with him. I will be sad when the day comes that he is no longer called "baby Jack". :)

Two of his favorite things...his broom and his Snoopie slippers.

Jack is giving his Snoopie slippers a kiss.

A daily ritual...sweeping the driveway.
