23 Months

I am writing Jack's 23 month post a couple days early because we are leaving to go to the Bahamas tomorrow...YEAHHHH! I can't wait!

Here's the scoop on "baby Jack" as the neighborhood kids call him...

• He is obsessed with trucks and cars. Sometimes we go up the construction site near our house to watch all the of the trucks do their thing. The only way I can keep him from falling asleep in the car on the way home is to talk about trucks and "look" for trucks on the road!
• He loves to swim and especially loves being at the pool with his dad.
• He learned how to make a joke...today he called Kurt "mama" and then laughed.
• His language is really coming along...he repeats a lot of words we say now and talks in unintelligible sentences. It's so funny!
• He loves sweets-specifically sprinkles on his fruit and syrup on his waffles. He actually likes the syrup by itself!
• When he likes something, Jack now says "Cool!"
• He is very caring. He loves to "hug" Henry and the cats if they let him. He also really had fun holding our friends' newborn son in the hospital this week!
• Jack has become a huge fan of Toy Story. He will sit through the entire movie, and always gets concerned when Buzz Lightyear accidentally falls out the window.
• He is really interested in "going potty". He hasn't learned to tell us he needs to go ahead of time, but likes to tell us after the fact. Jack then sits on his potty, asks for a piece of toilet paper, puts it in his potty, and then takes it out and throws it in the big toilet.
