This Christmas we stayed in San Antonio so we were able to have our own living tree! Oh how I love the smell of fresh evergreen. This is our tree on Christmas morning! When Jack woke up, Kurt went and picked him up to take him to the table to eat breakfast. Jack immediately saw the EMPTY cookie plate where Santa's cookies had been and he did a double take. He exitedly said, "Santa ate the cookies!". He was a little disappointed that the reindeer had left a few pieces of carrot on the plate.
Here is Jack showing us his new guy that came with his fire truck from Santa! After we opened stockings and explained that the "ho, ho, ho" indicated a gift from Santa, Jack chose his first present to open which was his present from Santa! He asked Santa for a fire truck, with a ladder and with a guy on it. And look what he got! He was thrilled!

We had so much fun celebrating Christ's birthday and singing Happy Birthday! Jesus' birthday cake ended up being mom's favorite...chocolate pie!
This was the first year I made Christmas dinner. I kept it simple and made all our favorites...garlic and citrus stuffed turkey, pretzel salad, cheesey potatoes, and of course chocolate pie!

I also got strawberry salad at Christmas this year! John's makes cheesey potatoes too! We may need to do a midwest dinner together!!! YUM!
John's mom makes the potoatoes, sorry! If I saw John making them I would freak!
What a nice Christmas together. Tyler has that scooter and loves it. He also just got an Alphie and loves it too. It's educational and fun!
So glad you guys had a wonderful family Christmas! Jack looks like it was a great day for him. Your tree looked absolutely magical! Glad Jack liked his Alphie. Love Mema and Papa
