Sweet Sweet Audrey!

We found out today that we are having a baby girl! I am seriously still in shock! I really had imagined that I would have a houseful of boys....and my hope of having a girl was small. But as God would have it, we are definitely having a girl! She was so sweet in the sonogram and kept flipping back and forth and putting her hand up to her mouth. The sonographer claimed that she looks just like Jack and Kurt but in my opinion that is pretty impossible to tell! Jack got a huge smile on his face when we told him it was a girl and immediately started to refer to the baby as a she. I cried of course out of happiness and shock. Kurt was thrilled and couldn't stop smiling. The sonographer was an answer to prayer for me...I had just been feeling so uneasy about the health of the baby and had been worrying a lot. The sonographer was amazing in how she described the baby and told us how beautifully healthy she looked as she went along. I don't remember feeling as reassured with Jack's sonogram. Praise God for easing my worries when I should have been trusting Him all along.

For a long time we have wanted to use the name Audrey Day....Audrey being a name of a little girl at a camp I worked at in college. This little girl looked just like me when I was little and she had befriended a boy in need. When the little boy would say her name, it just sounded so sweet....he would say, "Audwee, can I sit by you?" Day is my paternal grandmother's maiden name. I never met her...she died when my dad was only 17, but from what I hear, she sounded very sweet and like a wonderful mom. The pictures I have of her are just beautiful. Plus I love how Audrey Day sounds. Audrey means "noble strength" and Day means "light and hope". See you in a few months sweet Audrey girl.
