Jack is growing up so fast....he is a true boy in every sense and I love it! As you can see from the pictures, he can make a helmet and cape out of anything, requested all Star Wars toys from Santa, and falls asleep almost every day on his bean bag during room-time, sword in-hand. He loves to play super heroes and also loves to wrestle. I have had to carefully study how Kurt plays with Jack because it is really not in my nature to rough-house. Wrestling with Jack has not become one of my favorite activities and one might be surprised how much I know about super heroes and their powers.
Jack keeps us on our toes for sure. He is as smart as a a whip! I have been pulling the Santa card on him the past week or 2 to get him to behave. It actually worked and now I am bummed that Christmas is over! On Christmas Eve as we drove home from dinner, Audrey was crying. Jack said, "Audrey cries a lot. Does that mean Santa is not going to bring her any toys?". Of course we assured him that Audrey was a good girl and that Santa would bring her toys. Yesterday (on Christmas) just before bed, Jack very seriously asked, "How come Audrey cries a lot but Santa still brought her presents?".
Other quotes that keep us laughing...
Jack: Mommy, my feet are rough like your's.
Mommy: What? What part of your feet?
Jack: This part (pointing to his heel).
(Time for a pedicure I guess!)
Jack and Kurt playing super heroes....
Kurt: I am coming to get you. You cannot escape me!
Jack: (in his lowest, most serious voice) Not if I can help it!
