Pink and Purple Butterfly Baby Shower for Christine and Baby Annabelle

Recently I had the privilege of helping with a shower for my dear friend Mary Sue's daughter-in-law! She is decorating Annabelle's nursery with butterflies so we took advantage of the theme! I think it turned out beautifully. My favorite part if you can't tell is the cake the Elizabeth made (she's a chef). Let's just say weight watchers took a big side step while I was at the shower (and the week before when I had the privilege of receiving a large section of the sample cake!).

Kelly, who hosted the shower, had the best idea to write messages on the baby's diapers so that in the middle of the night the new parents would have a giggle and be encouraged!

Two men were sighted at the shower...one had no choice but to be photographed...and the other sat down too long and he had his pictured snapped! Sorry Dr. King! Now there is proof you like baby showers!

It's hard to tell from this picture, but this was a mobile made from a quilting ring.

Poor Christine...at least her cast matches her shower!

The cake lady. Oh how I love you.

Handmade items are my favorite.

Mary Sue made my day with giving Christine a tummy-time swing. We used to be therapy partners (well really she was my mentor!) and so I can greatly appreciate this gift! We had a willing guinea pig!
