On day 2 we headed to Old Silver Beach. The sand was perfect for digging and making moats! We found clam shells and baby crabs. Audrey loved collecting "treasures" (aka sticks and rocks). After a while she became tired of the sand and decided to sun bathe in the beach chair...such a lady. From there we headed home for Aud's nap and then decided to bike to Woods Hole. We visited Pie in the Sky Bakery, which we visited a total of 3 times because we couldn't' get enough of the coffee and Wonder Bars (ok maybe it was just me who couldn't get enough!). Our bike ride along the ocean was truly the quintessential scene of a beautiful northeast experience. The weather was perfect and the smell of the ocean brought on so many wonderful memories. We stopped at a rocky beach on our bike back to Falmouth. Something I have never experienced is the amazing sound of the rocks as they come in and out with the tide as they roll on top of one another. Yes, I love sandy beaches, but I also have a new found respect for rocky ones as well. For dinner we ate at the well-known Chart Room Restaurant. The food was wonderful and we enjoyed the up-beat jazz music. The only thing we did not enjoy were the glares for the people sitting at the table next to us. Apparently, children are not as loved in the northeast as they are in the south!
