Sweet baby Jack is all grown up! He started his 5-year-old preschool this past fall. We are so thankful that we decided to keep him in pre-k one more year. He is loving his teachers and classmates and is learning to be more confident. He does have a desire to learn letters/sounds/words, which we work on at home as he requests. But I am so thankful we don't have homework this year and I am so thankful that he gets to spend his days playing, building, creating, socializing, etc rather than doing academic work. There are so many years of this to come. We give all the glory to God for helping us make this decision. We prayed and sought out many opinions from wise people and felt a great peace about keeping him back from kinder.
Audrey is loving her class as well! Her year started off a bit rough with her broken leg. She has come so far and last Thursday she forgot to give me a hug because she was so excited to play with her friends and teachers. (Of course I went back to hug her because I knew she would remember 5 minutes after I left!). She comes home and tells me all of her friends names and loves to talk about Miss Cookie, one of her teachers.
