Happy 2nd Birthday Audrey!

Happy birthday sweet Audrey (or Audie or Aud as we call you). I cannot believe you are two years old. Your daddy and I constantly look at each other and say "Doesn't she look so grown up?!". The way you cross your ankles or rest your arms on the table reminds us of someone much older! We have loved every moment with you and every day we have the privilege of seeing you learn new things and explore God's creation. You are a very joyful and fun little girl and we are so thankful that you are part of our family. Here's a little bit about you and all the things we love about you!

Your favorite color is blue (or boo as you say)!
You love to get your toe nails and finger nails painted. I recently bought you blue sparkly nail polish and you love it!
You are obsessed with babies...real ones. You can can spot a stroller or baby carrier a mile away and you just adore every baby you meet. We have been babysitting a friends 4 month old and you love to put your baby dolls in his swing and sing Rock-a-Bye-Baby.
Speaking of that song, it's your favorite! We try to sing Jesus Loves Me to you at night, but you say, "No! Bye Baby! Bye Baby!". It's pretty hysterical.
You love to give hugs (or wha as you say).

You have quite a strong personality and tend to hold your own with Jack. You are strong willed (like mama?!).
You love school. You don't actually attend but all year long loved going to Jack's classroom. You even liked to carry your backpack to be like him. I think you will love your school next year.
You love the water and you even like sticking your face in the bath water and blowing bubbles.
Your favorite food is probably blue berries. You really are a fairly good eater and will try different things. Lately you have loved cod and fajita meat! Go figure!
You love to help me with "folding" laundry and putting it away and any other task I need help with.
You now know how to open doors...oh man.
You love to listen to music and dance in the car.
You love to dress up and wear your sunglasses.
You love the outdoors and you run around the house saying "Yeah Yeah!" and moving your harms in circles when we ask if you want to go outside!
You have started playing chase with Jack around the house. It is so precious to see the two of you play together.
You love to go to Starbucks and get a snack!
You can spot a playground anywhere, even if its just a small piece of a yellow slide showing through the trees. You call it a waa-wye.
If I had to describe your personality in one word, it would be silly! But a few others include cuddly, affectionate, fun, strong willed, assertive, caring, sensitive, gentle, shy when outside our home and helpful.
Right now you weigh 24 1/4 pounds and are 33 3/4 inches tall! Very petite little girl!

Here is a prayer that I have for you this year.

Dear Lord,
Thank you for creating Audrey in your image and for being so gracious to have placed her in our lives. We are in awe of your handiwork and we know you have adored this little girl since the beginning of time. We thank you for the outpouring faithfulness, protection and grace over this little girl for the first two years of her life. We thank you for her fun personality and the amazing amount of joy and love that she already exhibits. We thank you for how she loves her brother and how you have provided her with an outstanding example of faith through Jack. We thank you for her health, physically and mentally. We thank you for the people you have surrounded us with that love both Jack and Audrey and are helping to guide them towards your Son.
Lord we humbly ask in your Son's name that you would bless Audrey throughout all of her days here on earth. We pray that she would bring glory to Your name and that she would accept Jesus as her savior at a young age. We ask for your protection over her body, mind and spirit. We pray that she would be outspoken for Jesus and that she would commit her life to serving you always. In Jesus' name, amen.
